Took our daughter to the Ansel Adams exhibit as a birthday surprize! It was fabulous! The museum is truly a treasure and well worth the price of admission! This museum always has high quality temporary art shows as well as interesting permanent exhibits. I have visited several times in recent years and have never been disappointed. The museum store is my favorite museum store as it sells lots of high quality handmade items from jewelry to clothing, handbags, home goods.

There is a large parking garage conveniently located next door. We just made our first visit to this fun museum and wanted to highly recommend it to visitors and locals alike!

This is a "Boston-caliber" museum you can visit without dealing with the city. There is a great collection of Asian artifacts, American Decorative art and maritime artifacts too. They have an authentic Chinese House, which we will visit next time. Because the museum is so much more than just paintings, it's interesting for the kids. Plus they have a hands on childrens' room that is chock-full of fascinating activities and displays. Check the website in advance of your visit to see if they have any special family programs running.
